| This small house is located in Malpaís, in the Town of Mazo, some 800m to the south of the Archaeological park of Belmaco, very near the rural house Dos Aguas. |

Description: What was once in 1949 storage room for keeping farm tools and cattle was converted in 2005 as a small rural house for tourism purposes. It was given the name Rúbel, which was a nickname that the owner was known by. He was a carpenter and responsible for restoring the ceilings and a large part of the furniture in the house. The larder and the decorative elements in the bathroom and lounge have been handmade by the owner with tea wood, which is the name of the wood taken from the heart of the Canarian pine tree. The house is cosy and fully equipped and ideal for spending a pleasant and peaceful holiday in a rural environment.From the large terraces you can contemplate the beautiful sea views and on clear days you can see the other islands of Tenerife and La Gomera. For early risers the beautiful sunrise on this island is well worth seeing![]() |  |

| Mazo: |
An area in the south-east of La Palma which includes the islands airport. Mazo stretches from the forested heights of the Cumbre Vieja mountain ridge to the rugged coastline. The Cumbre Vieja is a beautiful nature park with a large number of marked walking trails. On the coast, just a stones throw from the airport is the small Playa el Pocito beach. Here you cn watch the planes land.
The church Ntra. Sra. de Los Dolores dates from the 18th century and is a good example of a building from those times.
Every weekend there is a farmers market in Mazo, where local products can be tasted and purchased.
Take a walk through the Parque Arqueológico de Belmaco and discover the world of the ancient peoples of La Palma.
In May Mazo celebrates the festival of Corpus Christi. The streets of the village (El Pueblo) are decorated with mosaics, cloth, arches, crosses and shields made from natural products including flower petals, seeds and rice.
There are more handicrafts to be seen in the museum Casa Roja, especially embroidery which is a speciality of the island.
Lovers of spectacular views should not miss Las Toscas, at 736 metres. |

| Situated among the vegetable gardens in the neighbourhood of Malpaís, in the south east of the town of Mazo, the third largest municipality of the island of La Palma. Rúbel house is next to the path LP16.1 that goes from the beach at La Salemera to the “Roque Niquiomo”, as well as to other local paths. Other places of interest situated in the surrounding areas of house are the Archaeological Park of Belmaco, that has aboriginal markings and sites, and also, only 5 km from the house is the municipality market and the Museum “Casa Roja”. |
