Capacity: 3 persons Description: is located in the centre of the old town of Santa Cruz de La Palma, 50 yards from the waterfront in former Kings St. (partly pedestrian area). All the little squares, restaurants and street cafés are within easy walking distance. To/from the airport is about 10 minutes by car, bus or taxi. Santa Cruz de La Palma is an idyllic little Spanish town off the tourist mainstream with a population of 18.000, it is the capital, cultural and commercial centre of the 'isla bonita', the perfect base for hiking tours and excursions to all parts of the island. It enjoys a subtropical climate all year round it is a splendid site to spend relaxing holidays amidst Spanish provincial life. The apartments were completely renovated in 1998 and are equipped with: shower/WC, Fully equipped kitchenette satelite colour TV, radio cassette, telephone Rental safe Every guest has his own key. Santa Cruz de La Palma:
Santa Cruz de La Palma is the capital of La Palma and with around 20,000 inhabitants is second largest town on the island. It is the home of the islands government. Santa Cruz is a town which offers plenty to see for visitors. Calle O'Daly is shopping street with traditional and modern shops, colonial houses and typical houses. The Plaza de España in the heart of the city is surrounded by historical buildings including thechurch Iglesia de El Salvador, the town haal in typical Renaissance style and the nostaligic Casa Pinto. In Santa Cruz are many old 'gentlemans houses' with wooden balconies. There are several monasteries and churches steeped in tradition. There are several museums including the Museo Naval, the naval museum housed in a replica of the Santa Maria. The busy working harbour is regularly visited by lage cruise ships and tall ships The town is famous for it's carnaval, the Easter Week and the religious procession Bajada de la Virgen, the festival of the patron saints of the island which is held every 5 years. There is a tourist information office in Calle O'Daly.
