| Puntallana: |
| Puntallana ligt in het noordoosten van La Palma en is een startpunt voor veel wandelingen. Een prachtig groen landschap met dichte laurierbossen.
Een uitzichtrijk gebied met vergezichten over de toppen en ravijnen, de dichte vegetatie en de blauwe Atlantische Oceaan. Bij helder weer zijn de buureilanden Tenerife en La Gomera goed zichtbaar.
Een bezoek waard is Casa Lujแn. Vroeger was in dit gebouw een raadhuis en een school, tegenwoordig een ethnografisch museum. Het is een fraai gerestaureerd landhuis met tuin.
De kerk San Juan Bautista is uit de 16e eeuw en u ziet hier Vlaamse invloeden.
Puntallana heeft een strand, Playa Nogales, wat bereikbaar is via een steile maar goed te lopen afdaling. De Atlantsiche Oceaan heeft hier een sterke onderstroom en draaikolken, men dient dan ook met zwemmen uiterst voorzichtig te zijn. |

| This is a typical two-storey house in the picturesque village of La Galga, inside the Protected Natural Area Cubo de La Galga belonging to the Biosphere Reserve El Canal y Los Tiles. No matter how much one could say about this favoured land, we could never find enough words to describe it.
The house is surrounded by a thick forest of different trees and bushes botanicly called Laurisilva. This type of forest once covered the entire Mediterranean basin. Now, this is one of its last holdouts in the whole world. Rambling is a must in the impressive area of La Galga. |
