| A cosy small house, situated like a view point with an impressive scenery of exciting views over the sea coast, at only 430 meters above the sea level. You will find it in Camino La Alameda, district of El Poleal, municipality Villa de Mazo, La Palma. | |
| Slaapplaatsen: 4 personen Slaapkamers: 2 Omschrijving: Casa Juana Quinta is part of an ecological farm. The main elements of its decoration are flowers and canarian items. This gives the houses a warm and quiet atmosphere breathlable throught the house. The simple but functional furniture revives the rural canarian atmosphere, offering as well plenty of confort to the visitor. The sitting-room keeps its original wooden ceiling of "tea" (pine core wood) showing the craftmanship and simple tecniques of hand cutting. All this is scarcely found so well conservated today because that belongs to the old days and most of it deteriorates everywhere. The stoned patio and terraces with flowers are the right spots from which to admire the exceptional views from the sea right up to the top of the island. Nobody ever will forget the genuine picture -real, without paints- of the sunrise behind the silhouette of the impressive mountain of El Teide, in Tenerife, to the East of La Palma. |  |

| Gebied in het zuidoosten van La Palma met de luchthaven van het eiland. Het strekt zich uit van de Cumbre Vieja tot aan de kust. De Cumbre Vieja is een prachtig natuurpark met een hoeveelheid aan gemarkeerde wandelpaden. Aan de kust, op een steenworp afstand van de luchthaven, is het strand Playa el Pocito. Hier kunt u de vliegtuigen zien binnenkomen. De kerk Ntra. Sra. de Los Dolores uit de 18e eeuw is een mooi voorbeeld van bouwwerken uit die tijd. Elk weekend is er in Mazo een boerenmarkt, waar men locale produkten kan proeven en kopen. Maak een wandeling door het Parque Arqueol๓gico de Belmaco en ontdek de wereld van de oerbewoners van La Palma. In de maand mei viert men Corpus Christi. De straten van El Pueblo worden versierd met kleden, bogen en schilderijen, gemaakt van natuurlijke produkten zoals bloemblaadjes, zand, rijst enz.
Meer handwerkkunst vindt u in het museum Casa Roja, met voornamelijk borduurkunst, de basis van de handwerkkunst van het eiland. | |

| Casa Juana Quinta is surrounded by a very quiet and suggestive enviroment, inviting to rest and relax. It is very close to the Royal Walk of the Coast (GR 130) that follows all the island round, and also close to the shorter walk PR LP 17, better known as "Camino de La Faya". This proximity to both walks and several other paths adds to those lovers of the practice of rambling large possibilities to enjoyment of gennuine nature. | |
