Omschrijving: It is ideal for two people looking for an alternative holiday, immersed in a rural environment. According to local reports, this is the oldest house in the area, with a traditional structure in an L shape, around large courtyards that include the paraphernalia of an old traditional well, still naturally collecting water from time to time. Its gardens, enlosed by stone walls and its barbacue sweeten the mild northern winds that arrive to this side of the island bringing health and wealth within its sweet water sea of clouds. The thick stone walls and the wooden ceiling provide the house with freshness in summer and warmth in winter. The inside of the house is therefore kept very confortable in its two rooms as well as in the open kitchen with unbeatable views overlooking the sea. From the house itself and from its yards one can enjoy splendid sunsets, unforgetable on this side of the Canaries. A range of pictures decorate the inside walls under the impressive wooden ceiling wood from the heart of canarian pines-. The pictures show diverse styles of local traditional life and places of interest in Garafía.![]() |  |

Een gebied met drakenbomen, amandelbomen, diepe ravijnen en steile kusten in het noorden van La Palma. Een ideaal wandelgebied.
Hier leefden de bewoners tot de jaren 60 van de landbouw en soms lijkt het hier of de tijd heeft stilgestaan. De windmolens en de geitenkaas herinneren nog aan deze tijd. De stilte is er enorm, het landschap romantisch.
Garafia is zeer geliefd bij wandelaars.
In het uiterste noordwesten is het dorp Santo Domingo met z'n dorpsplein en oude herenhuizen. De kerk Nuestra Señora de la Luz is een bezoek waard. In Santo Domingo vindt u ook het Museo Etnográfico Villa de Garafía.
El Tablado, het lieflijke gehucht waar nog slechts enkele tientallen Palemroos wonen, mag u niet missen.
Een strand is er ook, Fajana de Franceses. Toegangkelijk via een smal maar verhard pad.
De Roques de los Muchachos is het hoogste punt van het eiland en bekend om de sterrenwacht. Op de weg er naar toe en zeker boven indrukwekkende uitzichten. |
