| This rural house is situated some 450m above sea level in the village of Punta, in Tijarafe, which enjoys a good climate and spectacular views. |

Omschrijving: This house dates back to the beginnings of the XX century and is an example of the magnificent architecture of that period, given that is has been rebuilt bearing in mind the original style, stone walls, tea wood ceilings, thatched roof, etc. The decorative elements that belonged to the family can also be seen, such as the built-in larders, and the tea wood boxes that at that time were used as a larder for dried fruits and cereals.
Casa Medel has two cosy rooms and a large lounge-kitchen-dining room, fully equipped, which together with the exquisite décor provides the house with a warm feeling.
Outside, stone has been the main component in the restoring process of the large and terraces that surround the house. The garden offers a variety of flowers and fruit trees.![]() |  |

| Tijarafe: |
Tijarafe is een natuurrijk gebied aan de west kant van La Palma met verspreid liggende huizen. Het dorp Tijarafe heeft een klein centrum met nauwe straten. De kerk, Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, werd in de 16e eeuw gebouwd ter verering van de patrones. In de kerk bekende schilderijen en sculpturen.
Hier is ook de Casa del Maestro, een museum waar veel te zien is over de levenswijze en kultuur van de Palmeroos.
Uitzichtpunt El Time is een van de mooisten van het eiland. Hier kijkt u uit over de Angustias baranco, het Aridane dal en de kust van Tazacorte Puerto Naos tot Fuencaliente. Ook de Baranco Garome is een uitzichtpunt.
Tijarafe is een heerlijk wandelgebied met een grote hoeveelheid gemarkeerde wandelpaden. Er staan vele duizenden amandelbomen die bloeien in februari/maart.
Tijarafe is bekend van het Fiesta del Diabolo, het duivelsfeest. Begin september, tijdens de feesten ter verering van de patrones, verschijnt de duivel met veel vuurwerk.
Poris de Candelaria. Onder een enorme overhangende rotswand vindt u deze baai, welke bereikbaar is via een steil voetpad of per boot. Was het vroeger een plaats voor piraten en smokkelaars, tegenwoordig zijn er enkele kleine strandhutten. Een plek om te zonnen en, als de oceaan het toelaat, te zwemmen. |

| Casa Medel is located on the western side of the island of La Palma, in the lower regions of La Punta, in the municipality of Tijarafe. Its large terraces and gardens are ideal for enjoying the amazing scenes of the sun going down over the sea at Tijarafero.
A few metres from this cosy rural house you can find the long footpath GR 130, which is also known as the Camino Real de La Costa (The Coastal Path) and that surrounds the whole island. 2km away you can find the Mirador del Time, (Time Viewing point) that offers some of the most beautiful areas in the Valley of Aridane. Near here, you can find the GR 131 path Ruta de la Crestería, also known as El Bastón, (Walking Stick), that leaves from the port of Tazacorte, where there is a magnificent beach of black sand and many restaurants, and that surrounds the main peaks of the island. |
